Last day of August

Today was a good day. The dogs and I went out to the Sierra Valley for a drive and walk. I was pleasantly surprised to see many hawks flying around and sitting on fenceposts. I saw three sparrow hawks. On our walk across the Steel Bridge I got pictures of an immature Black-Crowned Night Heron. It's been a long while since we had an adventure. The summer work season has been long and hard and I'm exhausted. Looking forward to the end of the season and with it, more time to enjoy this wonderful place I call home.
